Mark Gordon gracefully placed over the age of 50 has been riding since around 12 years old. It all started on a Honda Dax 72cc Monkey Bike and then a variety of bikes (on & off road). Have rode bikes in many countries mainly Middle East, Asia sub-continent & Far East. Notable rides include an Africa Twin from Dubai to UK in 2002 and a Minsk along the Chinese/Vietnam border in 2013.
Happy now with a couple of retro-style Triumph Bonneville’s for blating around Dorset towns and the Arica Twin & BMW 1200 Adventurer for big arduous distances through Europe and beyond.
I only recently returned to the UK after 24 years living in the Middle East. Enjoying meeting old and new friends, discovering many new places and attending many new events particularly associated with motorcycling.
Now own and run Legacy85, a motorcycle clothing outfitter for discerning ladies and gentlemen. We sell old style clothing with modern technical safety features. Our ethos is to bring about a ‘nostalgic revival of a cultural style’. As such I was drawn to the majesty of the Distinguished Gentleman's ride and have riding with the Gentry for the past few years. Legacy85 is proud this year to be the key supporter of the Bournemouth and DGR and a sponsor of the London ride as well.
